Aaron K. Reich is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Saint Joseph’s University, where he teaches classes in Chinese religions, East Asian religions, and comparative religion. His research focuses on the visual culture of Daoism and the iconography of its deities in the late imperial and modern periods. Aaron is currently working on two article projects that examine respectively the production of religious art in contemporary Taiwan and Daoist conceptions of artistic excellence in middle-imperial Chinese painting.
